I love talking to the people at the launch of Writer’s Little Book…with BIG IDEAS. There was such a variety of things they wanted to write about. One close to my heart was
a lady who ran a complementary therapy business for horses. Great stuff. She had such a lot to tell me about her life and her business, I could have talked to her all evening. And what was good was that being in touch with other writers in the room was really spurring her on. She’d felt that because her English was poor and grammar full of mistakes, that might count her out as an author.
By the time she’d talked to a couple of others who were or had been in the same position as her, she really perked up. She’s one of my contenders for finishing her book by the end of this year.
She’s going to keep in touch so I’ll let you know how she progresses.
You see it’s my belief that with all the new technology available today, many more people can write even when they think they can’t.
It’s the mechanics of writing that often stop people. That ‘what will others think of me’ because… insert whatever limitation you want.
That’s why everything we’re planning for the Writer’s Little Book Club will be practical and in small chunks so people can take it in, try it out and see how it works for them.
If you haven’t yet been over to the site then it’s www.writerslittlebook.co.uk.
The Club is free – just sign up and you’ll get to know us and what we hope to offer you.
