Humphrey update

Humphrey’s taken to being outside more at the moment because

we have a five year old staying with us!

He’s decided that a whirling dancing singing little person is a threat. Even though every time she sees him she offers him food, he’s very wary.  At home she has her own cat and is used to them.  Knowing her own cat from being born, he’s used to her picking him up and playing with him.

Humphrey doesn’t do children.  And even other members of the family who don’t come often, he’s suspicious.

My other cat Sam who died a few years ago was very much a one woman cat but he was very laid back and when he had to go into catteries usually ended up getting extra privileges because he was so easy to deal with.

Our five year old was dancing in the living room and Humphrey looked like he was trying to negotiate a war zone, dodging the feet and the hands of this human tornado.
